Fifteen fragments of metal were found in T 67 in 2014. Only one fragment of iron was found in Locus4 and was catalogued, 20140044 . The restof the fragments were bronze and were distributed fairly evenly throughout thetrench, with the exception being Locus 3 with no metal objects and Locus 4 withthe most fragments, 5, recovered. Manybronze flakes were also collected in bulk. A bronze fibula was recovered from Locus 8 and was cataloged, 20140125 20140125 . Sixteenfragments of slag were recovered from T 67. Eleven of those fragments were iron slag weighing 94 grams, while fivewere bronze slag weighing 13 grams. Theslag fragments recovered were only found in Loci 5, 6, and 7 and only Locus 6 contained bronze slag. It seems from the evidence recovered that metal workingwas occurring in the area, but not within the space of T-67 itself.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
