Completed two full pick passes of trench. Cleared out roots and levelled the floor. While pickaxing and sifting, we noticed an increased concentration of terracotta in the soil but are still maintaing the Locus 2 designation. Finds included an incised buccheroid rim fragment ( ), a terracotta loom weight ( ), and a small amorphous lump of bronze ( ). Terracotta and pottery totals will be included in this afternoon's entry.
Completed another full pick pass of trench. Began trimming the baulks and discovered a piece of a shell sheet with two circular perforations ( Locus 2 and a 1/2 latte box for baulk pottery (=4 latte boxes total for today). Closing elevations were:). Baulk trimming will continue tomorrow as well as atleast 1 complete pick pass of the trench. Total terracotta unearthed today = 14 cassetta. There was also 3 1/2 latte boxes of pottery and bone from
