Daily Log - 7 Jul 09

AM- Began digging in locus 3 again in Sections A & C.  The white/gray layer is no more than about 5cm thick in places in Section A & B; not distinguishable in Section C.  The new sooil is brown, granular, with some fragments of terracotta mixed in but little pottery. This will be Locus 4. The closing elevations for Locus 3:

1- 27.42; 2- 27.43; 3- 27.43; 4-27.40; 5- 27.44; 6- 27.40

7- 27.43; 8- 27.37; 9- 27.40; 10- 27.42; 11- 27.46; 12- 27.40

Soil in Locus 4 is brownish and breaks up fairly easily.  There is little in the way of finds, it seems fairly sterile.
