Sixteen boxes of tile were dumped today. The stone seal was cleaved and cleaned and will be photographed over the weekend.  It compresses one with the compactness of the seal, the definitely conscious effert to cover the "dump."  Perhaps tehse stones (there are tons of them throughout the dump), were quarried from the dump originally, used in Tesero and refaned after the buildings were raised.  The bedrock could very easily have been ground

for this size of stone.   [see summary]  Work progressed in trench 2J.  It consists appreciably of bedrock - perhaps 1/2 to 1/3 of the total area need be excavated.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
