Work also continued in Locus 3 in the southern two meters of the trench. The S.E. stump was cleaned around its roots.

A few sherds of pottery and tile were recovered.

From mid-morning to lunch excavation focused on the north half of the trench. Soil continued to be medium-light brown and clay-like. Some tile was recovered.

Locus 2, owing to its similarity to Locus 3 was closed. The whole trench is now Locus 3. The coordinates to Locus 3 are the same as those for the opening trench coordinates. Closing Locus 2 photos were taken.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
