A.M.

Began trimming baulk in meters Y-Z/13-16.  This produced 1/3 cassetta of plaster and tile fragments-mostly plaster-and 3-1/4 latte boxes of pottery and bone fragments.  Numerous small flakes of bronze were bagged with the pottery.  All finds came from this work.

Began scraping down the floor in Y-Z/15 and part of 16, in order to create a level surface and trace the transition between the darker carbon-plaster filled soil, which is appearing in the west, and the yellow-brown soil, with very little material in it, which is still preserved in the eastern portion of the trench.  This work also included defining the eastern edge of the stones on the Y-Z/14-15 meter line.  This produced 25-30 small fragments of plaster and tile, and 1/6 latte of pottery and bone fragments.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
