VT-14 yielded a total of 244 pieces of pottery, of which the vast majority were impasto in fabric and from Locus 4 . Locus 1 , the construction fill from the creation of the tennis courts, contained no pottery. In Locus 2 , approximately half the pottery recovered was impasto, while the other half was a mix of modern/medieval, coarseware, and fine impasto, indicating that this was a mixed-context stratum. Locus 3 , while contextual, was completely devoid of material culture, including ceramics. Locus 4 contained 81% of the pottery recovered from VT-14, of which 73% was impasto and the rest coarseware and fine impasto. The types of pottery being recovered in Locus 4 are similar in shape and fabric to the types of pottery recovered in the other Vescovado trenches and demonstrates that VT-14 exposed part of the same fossa feature as found in the other trenches.
Locus 5 remained unexcavated due to time constraints, but based on materials recovered in VT-12 and VT-13 , would likely have yielded a substantial amount of pottery. No ancient chronologically diagnostic ceramics were recovered from VT-14.

N.B. Due to the fact that locus 2 was a mixed-context stratum, all the pottery fabrics, both diagnostic and non-diagnostics were weighed together. The total weight for all the pottery of locus 2 is therefore 0.83 KG
N.B. Although special find pottery is included in the sherd count, it was not included in the weight

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
