Daily Log

July 21, 1975

Work continued in cut 5 (T-19).  In grids E/34-35, a heavy concentration of stone was encountered or left in situ.  This stone concentration continues in C-D/34-35 and might reach as far as the foundation wall of the upper building (A/34-35).

  • Find #2
  • B/34
  • Rocchetto from stone pack, decorated with stoppled design

  • Find #3
  • A-D/34-35
  • Cut 5 above stone pack
  • Bucchero handle with stamped and incised decoration

The stone packing (A-D/34-35), which as it turned out did continue as far as the upper building foundation wall, was removed.  The concentration of rock was quite heavy and some of the stones were quite large.

2 cassette of tile dumped.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
