Daily Log

June 26, 2003

The trench was troweled this morning so that all the white soil was visible.  The contour of Locus 3 was followed, and it was not as irregular on the north half as in the south half.  All remaining roots and stumps were removed, and the baulk walls were trimmed.  This treatment was done until lunch, and the trench was halfway done.  There were no special finds this morning.

The trench was completely fine-troweled and cleaned.  It was covered with plastic so that any features might be visible in the morning.

Locus 2:

  • 228 pieces of terracotta (1/2 bucket)
  • 22 pieces of ceramic (1/2 latte box)
  • 1 piece of plaster
  • 5 "sling stones"

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
