Bone Summary

A total of 832 fragments of unmarked, animal bones were recovered in T-18 and one fragment of worked bone from locus 1 (KLHIV, pg 33). The majority of the bone came from loci 2, 6, 7, and 9. These loci all represent soil to the south of the rock feature that runs through the trench. A fair amount of the bone shows signs of burning especially in loci 2 and 7. Several large bones were recovered as well as several jawbone fragments with teeth preserved.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
