Daily Log

July 17, 2000

Work in locus 3 continued in meters 343-36 S, 171-173 E, with the clearing down to the destruction fill for photogarphy. A moderate amount of charcoal and carbon is present in the soil. After the destruction fill is exposed, it will be drawn, photographed, then excavated as a new locus (#4) precluding any possibility of contamination from above, which locus 3 is prone to by its very nature, since artifacts may have been dropped there in earlier excavation seasons.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
