Conclusion

Final conclusions cannot be made at this point as the trench is not fully excavated at the end of the 2003 field season.  However, we have begun to understand a bit of the topography as was hoped.  The dramatic slope evidenced in the closing of locus 4 and opening of locus 6 certainly suggests the possibility of ditches or an uneven surface existing.  This needs to be fully explored by taking down the three meters between T32 and T33.

The stratigraphy has begun to be understood through these efforts in this area, but certainly needs further work next year.  A good beginning has been made.

No surprises, i.e. architecture etc. has come to light in T32 this season.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
