Excavation began by picking in Locus 2 this morning. Soil was sorted in the trench into buckets using trowels. A good amount (over 1 bowl of tile) material was recovered. In the East meter of Locus 2 a series of stones are emerging. In sum 4 pick-passes were completed. Also notable are small fragments of charcoal in the soil.


Work continued in Locus 2 . Four pick-passes were completed. The soil in the western half is more clay-like, while in the east it is lighter near the emerging stones. Some more charcoal was present and

a sample was taken. Much tile was recovered three bowls of tile was recovered.
