As the tiles increased in number through the middle of the trench, it became clear that they were largely potsherds from vases of all sizes and shapes. The possibility of a pottery dump beginning just south of a group of stones at 7.70 m N thus arose. The burnt layer continued

steadily throughout most of the trench, though interrupted in places by pockets of yellow soil. Depth in places was as great as 140 cm. About 13 boxes of tiles/sherds were dumped.
