Locus 6 declared over the area previously covered by locus 4 . Locus 6 contains a pocket of galestra like soil, approx. 30x20cm along the eastern edge of locus 6 .  Began to trowel through the mottled soil of locus 6 .  Found a bronze pendant in locus 6 while troweling (Find #1).  Continued troweling in locus 6 to find the extent of the mottled soil.  During troweling through the mottled soil of locus 3 a darker burned soil began to appear in the northern section.  We began to carefully trowel through locus 3 to determine the extent of the burned layer.

The northern 2/3 of locus 3 has revealed a dark brown soil with heavy carbon inclusions.  Continued to excavate the mottled soil of the southern section of locus 3 , which now has large amounts of carbon.  Continue to trowel through the mottled soil of locus 6 .  The soil of the

southern 1/3 of locus 3 began to be mixed with a mottled soil with heavy carbon and terracotta, and a yellow flaky galestra like soil which is at a lower level than the burn soil of the northern 2/3 of the trench.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
