Excavation began in the western section of the trench to remove remainder of the fill. Area was picked and shovelled. The fill was cleared, and excavation continued to level out the trench. Soil below the construction fill is a clay-like deposit, with inclusions of small stones, mainly chert.


Excavation continued in the centre of the trench. Soil remains clay-like, also coloured blue and green. Continued to work in east of trench using shovels and trowels. Some tile and pottery present.
