Daily Log

August 14, 1969

From the W side of Ag4 we collected 8 boxes of tiles, much pottery, and a tiny piece of bronze. A distinct line of foundation stones appeared, projecting about 0.18m form the center cut, at a depth of 1.15m. Agger 5 alos yielded much pottery plus 2 boxexs of tile and several finds. We extended the trench 4.0 x 6.50 m NS on the W but immediately beside the first cut, rather than leaving a central profile, as we did with agger 3 and agger4. Finds included:

  • find 5
  • lateral sima spout frag.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
