The west scarp was cleaned up and photos were taken of the find spot for the daedalic face found yesterday ( Special Find #2 ).  Approximately tow dozen well-worn terracotta fragments were recovered along with one pottery sherd in this cleaning operation.

Excavation continued in locus 3 .  Fourteen bowls (24 cm. in diameter, 7 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments were recovered along with one latte box of pottery sherds.  Nine bone fragments and a tooth wer recovered.  The trench was lowered approximately 5 cm.  Four special finds were made (#1:  bucchero handle fragment, #2:  bronze fragment, #3:  Medieval pottery sherd, #4:  rocchetto head).
