The second 5-meter strip (17-21 on grid) was taken down to bedrock, which appeared about 25 cm down, and cleaned. Again, bedrock projected highest in the central portion (G-J).
In B-12/13 and C-12/13, a large rectangular worked block lay horizontally, surrounded closely on all sides by small to medium sized stones. these seemed placed deliberately against the block, for there were no other such stones in the area.
The block was brokin in two (with the joining edges facing in opposite directions) and several pieces of pottery were found in the crack (). The break obviously preceeded burial. Under the stones at a depth of 5-10 cm. from the surface of the block were tile fragments, also packed tightly around he block.

Meanwhile, 22-24 began to be cleared of the first layer below topsoil. A fragment of cornice was found in P 24, east 12.60 meters by south 15.80.
Another extension, 9.5 meters in length, 28-37 on grid, was laid out to the east.
The E extension of the trench was excavated in order to establish if the two E-going walls from the adjoining trenches continue. The extension measures 9.20 (E-W) x 14.50 m (N-S). The remains of the dump from T2 was moved. Topsoil was taken off from the strip S of the S wall. 4 boxes of tiles were dumped. 1 rocchetto was found and 1 piece of procession frieze (the wheel and back part of the wagon).

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
