The third layer was taken off, starting from the S edge of the trench. Depth 25-30 cm. The sone formations in the trench now stood out very clearly. There two pilasters - the one which was partly uncovered in T10 and whic is then labeled "A"
see plan, p. 236 . A second round formation appears in grid PQ 26-27 see sketch plan, p. 242 . To the N of that there are some patches of what seems to be bedrock. The second and third layers of grid N-O 26 produced a heavy dark grey earth, with no finds. The section between column base A and the new one, labeled alpha ( ) on the sketch plan produced a vast number of sherds from plain pots. 10-15 pieces, among which a large handle ( ) were found in the second layer the day before. Now there appeared one almost complete base of a large pot, fragments of bases from other similar pots numerous rims, all of varying
thickness and profile, some fragments of the belly, a few with a rope design and one or two with a flat ridge. Two fragments of a cooking stand, one rim and one piece from the side. In all ca 12 different kinds of rims were counted sherds of a thinner fabric but all coarse, were gathered and filled about 3/4 of a fruit box
One piece of banquet frieze-the right table and dog P28
Part of a funnel Q27
the main part of the sherds was found in Q27; the rest was scattered.
3 boxes of tiles were dumped - mostly pantiles.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
