Work continued is meters L-M/71-76, bringing this area down to an average depth of 100 cm.  Soil is heavily included with plaster and carbon.  Tile is infrequent, but not heavily worn.  Pottery is not frequent.

Although the cut has not progressed very far, several fragments of worked bone have already been recovered.  Several fragments of plaster with unusual finished edges have also been found.

Although the cut is incomplete, a large amount of plaster with finished faces has been found.  Larger fragments and unusual finished surfaces are being taken to the magazino for cleaning.  Tile is still relatively light.

P.M.

The cut to cir. 100 cm in meter M/71-76 continued and was completed across the meters.  The soil from a depth of roughly 90-100 cm was a consistent medium brown with very heavy plaster and carbon inclusions.

Within these six meters, a latte box of pottery was recovered, along with about 1 2/3 cassetti of tile and plaster fragments.  Much of the plaster showed evidence of reed impressions.  Numerous pieces of worked bone were found, concentrated in meters M/71-73.

A new cut was begun in meter M/71 and a new stratum was immediately identifable.  Soil is nearly black and dense with carbon.  Plaster is present in high qauntities, as is pottery and bone.  3 latte boxes of pottery and bone were removed from M/71 alone.
