In the beginning of July 2003, Tesoro 33 will be opened near the Orientalizing workshop. It is three meters west of Tesoro 32 which is opened simultaneously.
Tesoro 25, began in 1980 by Ronald Lacy (), was excavated on an older grid, and occupies an area 10 meters east of T33. A number of excavations in the next few years and extensions in the 1990s ( , ) exposed numerous interesting architectural features. IN the 1982 field season Greg DUnham exposed a series of stone lines running perpidicular to each other ( , 1982). Most importantly, in 1998, Elaine Marchese established a continuous stratigraphic pattern which linked the Upper Building to the southen defense wall chronologically ( , 1998). What is still not understood very well, however, is the topography of the area in the Orientalizing Period between the workshop and the other structures on the hill, and what happened in the Archaic occupation to this area after these structures were destroyed.
The purpose of the series of trenches installed in the area east of Tesoro 25 can be summarized in two statements:
- To understand the topography between the south slope and the complexes on the hill in the Orientalizing Period; is there a dip in between these important areas that was filled when the Archaic complex was built?
- To search for structural features that may have been missed in previous exvacations in this area, in lieu of so many other obvious imprtant architectural features.
Tesoro 33 occupies meters 161 to 164 E, and 58.5 - 60.5 S. The datum point is just to the northeast in a tree at an elevation of 29.0 m. The dirt dump is to the west, and the terracotta dump pile is directly beside it.

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
