AM: worked in magazzino

PM: Continued work removing the last of the topsoil from P/Q 34-40.  This was accomplished in 2 cuts of a few centimeters each (10cm total) with pick and shovel.  A hard-packed grayish soil was exposed in P/Q 34-35.  Small boulders were exposed in P/Q 36.  These run in a north/south line but don't correspond to the north/south running wall in the eastern portion of T21.  The boulders will remain in sito while the remainder of the cut is completed in P/Q 37-40.  A full cassetta of tile was recovered along with two litre milk cartons.  Much of the pottery is worn and abraded, but serveral diagnostic pieces were recovered.  One 5cm deep cut was made (incomplete at present) in T31-32.  Only a little tile

and one third of a litre milk carton of pottery was recovered.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
