|Title||Rim Fragment of a Plate|
|Photo Type||Cataloged Artifact|
|Description||The rim slants out diagonally from the surface. It is a plain curve on the inside, but on the outside is divided by two horizontal grooves into three half-round moldings, the bottom of which is the foot. The curve from the raised foot to the bottom has two horizontal grooves. On the top there are concentric bands of orange-red paint. The rim band is 0.023 m wide and 0.005 m from the 0.005 m wide second band. The third band, 0.003 m wide, is 0.017 m from the second. There seems to be traces of a thin fourth band about 0.004 m beyond the third.|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
