Description A bucchero fragment, probably form the brim of a plate, with stamped decoration consisting of the following from left to right: 1.) portion of a deer, with front legs and lower part of back legs broken off, with a sleek body, tail, and one long antler, extending form the head parallel to the body, with three horns, 2) below the the belly of the deer, what appears to be a snake in the form of "W", 3) to the left, the front quarters of a male sphinx with a single curving wing, whose face is delicately rendered with an eye, a long and pointed nose, and open mouth, and a projection beard, and 4.) above the back of the sphinx, a bird in flight with outstretched wings and head facing left, while to the left only the wing of a second bird now remains. The top of this stamped frieze is bordered by a fine, curving line in relief.
