Condition Restored from eight fragments; four additional small fragments are associated but do not join. Surfaces are heavily worn, pitted, and encrusted. There is substantial fresh chipping and shearing due to damage from modern tools used in excavation.
Description Forno fragment preserves portion of a broad, flat rim that comes to a rounded edge before tapering in slightly to the exterior surface of the vessel. On the interior the rim projects sharply, and underneath the rim the wall is highly irregular, bumpy, and ridged, clearly finger-smoothed and pressed. The vessel wall tapers significantly in thickness from the rim to the bottom break edge.
