Condition Vessel is comprised of approximately 108 fragments rejoined during conservation. There are 57 associated fragments that do not join the fragment. Seven fills have been added to help support the joins. Whole vessel: surfaces are worn and encrusted. Handle: Surfaces are worn and encrusted. One end has an ancient, diagonal break. The other end still preserves part of its attachment to the body of the vessel. A fragment is missing from the edge of the handle. The handle is comprised of 2 fragments that were rejoined during conservation.
Fabric Description Creamware
Description A partial trefoil oinochoe preserves the handle, the trefoil lip, the neck, a large portion of the body, and a large portion of the base. The trefoil lid has two wider spouts on the side and one smaller spout in the front. The trefoil lip curves concavely into the neck and straightens out for 0.056 m until it reaches the point of carination. From the point of carination the body flares outward to the widest diameter of the belly then tapers inward, approaching the low, ring base. A strap handle attaches at the back of the spout and rises slightly before turning downward to a point of attachment at the upper shoulder.
