Description Topsoil and humus layer. A dark black to medium brown soil with many roots and rocks. Terracotta fragments of various sizes and levels of wear. Locus is still open in the eastern half of the trench (approx 224.5-226E)but is no longer visible in most locations in the west. Due to it not being closed across the entire trench, the locus will remain open.
