Description The soil of locus 1 was a root-filled humous layer. Soil was dark brown and very dry. 1/2 of a bowl of terracotta and 1/4 of a latte box of pottery was extracted from locus 1, including a small sherd of medival pottery designated as special find 1. The locus contained 3 larger stumps and 2 smaller stumps, and each was removed with pickaxes and axes.
