|Description||Locus 2 is a denser, darker yellowish-brown clay-like soil filled with small rocks. There was still a 60 x 60 meter baulk area in the southwest corner around the tree that was not removed in this locus. The locus also contained a decent amount of terracotta and pottery, as well as bulk bronze, slag, and a fair amount of bone. There is a line of rocks extending along the southern edge of the trench that connects to those in CA-83, through the second extension of CA-81 and through CA-79 and CA-77. An iron ball (20130064) and a slag fragment with adhered terracotta (20130207) were recovered within this locus as well.|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
