Condition The preserved portion is broken on both ends and one side. The surface is heavily corroded and oxidized.
Description A portion of a bronze fibula is preserved. On one end the two edges of the fragment were folded over and pinched together creating a rough hollow tube. From this closure point the preserved portion flares out slightly. The fragment appears to be part of a fibula catchplate.
