Description Approximately one half of a coarseware bell shaped cooking vessel lid with handle is preserved, creating a complete profile. On the top of the exterior is a semi-circular handle (approximately 0.046 m wide). Beneath the handle there is a slight depression which is mirrored on the interior surface by a slight bulge. The body of the vessel slopes down from the handle area and terminates in a rounded rim. On the exterior and interior faces of the vessel there are various areas of discoloration. The preserved portion of the vessel is somewhat fragmentary. The fragment containing the handle is the largest. The fragments that make up the body and rim of the vessel were identified from bulk pottery and assembled. Two additional rim fragments appear to belong to this vessel, but they do not join to any of the other fragments.
