Condition All surfaces are worn, encrusted, cracked, and mottled in color. The three broken surfaces reveal the porous interior of the antler. Patches of the surface reveal a shiny black exterior due to buring.
Description The burned cut antler fragment is semi circular in form with a shallow groove on the flat top surface that follows the direction of the fragment, suggesting the use of a lathe.
