|Munsell Color||10YR 5/3 brown|
|Description||Locus 3 is a brownish clay layer, which unlike locus one and two, has a higher concentration of archaeological remains. The presence of medieval pottery unfortunately makes any date for this level negligible. Matrix includes heavy root action and sparadic concentrations of stone which are clearly natural/unintentional. (for the purpose of data entry locus 3 has been assigned locus 8 in the computer)|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
