  • Locus 1 consists of top soil fron the entire area of excavationexcluding the stump in the southeast corner. This soil was a consistant dark brown with some small stone inclussions and penetrated to approximately an elevation of 28.00 where it was interrupted by an inconsistant layer of galestra-like soil. The layer also included some small patches of sandy brown soil associated with large roots. This locus was not closed at the end of the 2003 season because excavation will continue in the area and will require that this locus be used and extended beyond the current bounds of the trench.
  • Locus 1 consists of the black humus layer which covered the entire area of T35. Material was a conglomeration of roots and plant rot.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
