Description Locus 2 is a medium brown clay like soil that extends throughout most of the trench, except the northeast corner. The same stumps present in locus 1 are still present for the first 4 days of excavation in locus and then removed. There are many roots in the locus, as well pieces of tile, pottery and and almost all the bones found in CA 65. The soil has carbon and terracota inclusions. A rough circle of stones were in the west, but did not appear to be anything once excaveted and under them a yellow brown soil was found. Some of these stones, once defined were very large (~30 cm X ~70 cm), they run diagonally from the Northwest corner to ~7E, 2N. Locus 2 is also the area of the depression which was excavated during the last 5 days which locus 2 was open. Locus 2 was the locus were all of the cataloged finds for CA 65 were located.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
