|Description||Locus 6 lies directly under Locus 5 and extends throughout the whole trench extension. The soil is a light-brown in colour and more dry and flaky in texture. As Locus 6 was excavated a stone packing became apparent running east-west across the extension. The soil to the north of the packing was a light-brown whilst that to the south became progressively lighter and yellow with little or no material. 136 sherds of pottery and 3 pieces of bone were recovered, along with just over one bowl of tile and some bronze and slag. Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
