|Munsell Color||2.5Y 3/3 dark olive brown|
|Description||Locus 1 consisted of the humus layer. This soil itself was dark brown in color, fairly loose, and contained many grass roots. Little material was recovered from Locus 1 and the material that was found was a mixture of ancient and modern materials; thus no contextual information could be gained from anything found in Locus 1. Additionally, this stratum was very shallow, as it is comprised solely of the humus layer.|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
