|Description||Locus 2 is another layer of topsoil. It extends through the southern half of Tesoro 56 and can be seen in the southern halves of the E and W baulks and through the entire S baulk. It sits under the S half of Locus 1, and on top of Locus 3. On the floor of the trench, it sits to the south of Locus 1. Locus 2 was very shallow, only a few pick passes were completed in it before Locus 3 was declared underneath it. Locus 1 was declared because the soil appeared lighter on the floor of the trench, but after the baulks were trimmed it is not possible to discern Locus 2 on the stratigraphy. No ancient finds were found in the area of Locus 2.|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
