|Description||Locus 7 occupies the NW corner of Tesoro 56. It sits under Locus 6 and on top of Locus 12. It is west of Locus 6 and north and east of Locus 11 once it was declared. It extends into both the N and E baulk walls. Locus 7 consists of a dry, rather yellowish in color, soil. It is less clayey than Locus 4, 6, 11, or 12 and has a sandier texture than they do. Locus 7 was characterized by what appears to be a packing of stones above it. With one excpetion (it was ca 20 x 10 cm) most were small (ca 5-6 cm long). The first ten cm of soil were very hard packed, but it loosened up somewhat as the level of the floor of the trench was dropped. Finds were few in Locus 7, but they do include some ceramic, and terracotta.|

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.
The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
